Sports: The Great Outdoors

Mammoth Mountain was awesome this Memorial Weekend. On Friday we hiked up to the Lakes and as you can see from the photo of Lake Mary, it was truly awesome! The picture was taken using my cheapo point and shoot Nikon. It's comprised of three separate photos stitched together creating this beautiful panorama.

On Saturday they opened 14 lifts including the Gondola and Chair 23. The snow on top is still holding up very nicely. If you get a chance, you should race up the Mountain and get some more days in before they close after the July 4th weekend.

I boarded Sunday morning for a couple of hours and then took a trip across the valley to the Ancient Bristlecone Forest in the White Mountains. In 1957, Dr. Edmund Schulman discovered the Bristlecone Pine to be the oldest living thing on the planet. These trees are over 4000 years old and they thrive in the harshest environment!

Animals: Sebastian is the Lizard King!

I managed to keep this one out of the house. I'm certain there are a few dead ones tucked away behind the couch. Here's a few pics of Sebastian's early days.
